For four innings, Glens Falls looked like the team in control. The Dragons jumped Saugerties for a 6-1 lead, only to watch the Stallions answer with 15 unanswered runs — nine of them in a seven-inning, run-rule-shortened 16-6 rout at Cantine Field on Wednesday. Glens Falls drew nine walks and out-hit nobody down the stretch, falling to 6-13 as a bullpen meltdown turned a comfortable cushion into a blowout.

The early offense was patient and productive. Tyler Worth reached three times and scored twice, David Yorke went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two runs, and both Derek Diaz and Giorgio Pantepinto collected two hits apiece. Kaden Barmer and Shane Hoover each drove in a run as the Dragons built their 6-1 edge through four. Then the dam broke. Saugerties chipped away with sacrifice flies before unloading for nine in the seventh. Michael Hannah paced the surge at 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs, Magnus Krieger added three hits and three RBIs, and Aiden Schmidt and Anthony Depetro combined for four runs and four driven in.

Kyle Fives took the loss after surrendering four runs over two innings, and the relief corps issued 13 walks as a staff. Ryder Herchenroder closed the door for the win. The Dragons stay on the road Thursday at the Oneonta Outlaws.
