Four Glens Falls pitchers held Boonville to a single run and the Dragons made four hits stand up in a 5-1 win at East Field on Wednesday. Starter Tyler Weygard worked around five walks to fire four scoreless innings, and the Dragons broke through with three runs in the fifth and two in the seventh to snap a two-game skid and improve to 8-16.

Glens Falls did its damage without a big hit total, cashing in two Boonville errors and steady traffic on the bases. Tyler McKillop drove in two runs, Enrique Diaz went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Rene Vega drew two walks and knocked in another. Kaden Barmer reached and scored twice, and Taye Robinson added a hit and a run. Boonville starter Eric Sheppard struck out seven but took the loss, charged with three runs over five innings. Noah Reed went 3-for-4 and Jacob Young 2-for-2 for the Lumberjacks, who stranded chance after chance against Dragons pitching.

Anders Lowkes struck out five over three innings of one-run relief, Kyle Fives worked a perfect eighth, and Dominick Weidtman closed the ninth for the save. The Dragons hit the road Friday to face the Utica Blue Sox.
