The Blue Sox sent 13 men to the plate in the sixth, with every starter reaching base in the frame, and rolled out four singles and a sacrifice fly before the Dragons could record more than one out. Five Glens Falls pitchers combined to walk six and surrender 13 runs over nine innings.
Michael Flashner went 4-for-4 with a walk, two RBI, two steals and two runs scored for Utica out of the leadoff spot, while Conor McCartney crossed the plate three times on a 2-for-4, one-walk effort. Christian Cerone drove in three on a 2-for-4 night that included a two-run single in the sixth and a sacrifice fly in the fifth, and Ethan Madison added a 2-for-5, two-RBI line. Starter Colin Richardson (L, 0-1) was Glens Falls' lone bright spot on the mound — five innings, six hits, three runs (two earned), three strikeouts — before reliever Myles Seid was tagged for seven runs without recording two outs.
Giorgio Pantepinto led the Dragons' six-hit night with a 2-for-3 effort and a double. Glens Falls finally got on the board with a three-run eighth, kicked off by a two-run Ronan Rowe error-aided knock from Nick Sorbera and capped by an RBI single from Taye Robinson. The Dragons hit the road for Damaschke Field on Monday night to open a two-game set with the Oneonta Outlaws.
